Borgstenaskolan is Borås City's northernmost school and one of the smallest. The school is located in a beautiful rural environment with a large forest nearby where children can play during breaks and which is also used for outdoor classrooms.

At Borgstenaskolan, about 60 students attend from preschool to grade 6. All staff at Borgstenaskolan collaborate throughout the day for the best interest of each student and the opportunity to succeed as the primary goal.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in the after-school program, you will be part of the educational context, both during school hours and after-school hours. You will help create a safe and stable environment for the students.

Your work in the school's after-school program includes planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work both individually and together with your colleagues. The position also includes collaboration with the school, focusing on students' goal fulfillment and linking the work to governing documents. You will collaborate and maintain close contact with all functions at Borgstenaskolan and be part of the students' entire school day. If you also have qualifications in music or sports, there will be opportunities to teach these subjects.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher in the after-school program. If you also have qualifications to teach music and sports, we consider that a strong merit.

You are interested in continuing to develop the after-school program and, together with your colleagues at the school, provide students with the valuable consistency throughout their time at school. For the position, it is important that you have the ability to see all students' different needs, take into account their individual circumstances, and help all students grow through clear pedagogy and connections to the curriculum. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and are confident in your teaching role. We also see that you demonstrate good leadership qualities and have a positive approach towards students, colleagues, and guardians.
